Privacy Policy

The short version

Roll The Name does not ask you to sign up, log in, or give us any personal information. We do not run our own analytics that track who you are. The name generator runs entirely in your browser and we never see which names you generate. The only data anyone other than you sees is the standard data your browser sends to any website (your IP address, browser type, the page you visited) and what is collected by the third-party services listed below.

What we collect ourselves

Nothing personally identifying. We do not run any cookie, tracker, or analytics script that we control. The generator uses your browser's local clipboard only when you click a name to copy it, and that operation happens entirely on your device.

What third-party services collect

Cloudflare. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare logs standard request data including IP address, user agent, and referring URL for security and reliability purposes. Cloudflare's privacy practices are documented at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Google AdSense. Roll The Name shows advertising provided by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show you ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.

Amazon Associates. Roll The Name is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. If you click an Amazon link on this site and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Amazon may use cookies to attribute that purchase.

Cookies

Roll The Name does not set any cookies of its own. Google AdSense and its advertising partners may set cookies as described above.

Children

Roll The Name is intended for a general audience including teenagers and adults who play tabletop role-playing games. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
